vs The morning mats have wrapped. Medal matches are on one feed now.
Three separate tournaments run back to back in one arena. Pick a team to see every American, when they wrestle and how they did.
All times Eastern, Warsaw local in parentheses.

Confirmed weights come from SportZona's own entry list, taken once that weight is
open, and are who is actually on the mat. Registered weights are UWW's list from
before the brackets are drawn, and are provisional: wrestlers withdraw. Three Americans on
UWW's lists never appeared in the confirmed entries.

All three meets use the Nordic group system. Instead of a single elimination tree, everyone in a weight is drawn into groups and wrestles round-robin inside that group. The top finishers go straight to the medal matches. Nobody is knocked out by one loss, and there's no repechage, so there is genuinely no ladder to draw.
That's why a wrestler here can lose a match and still finish on the podium. Beka Melelashvili went 3-1 in Greco and took bronze.
Every weight gets the full final placings (1st through last, with classification and technical points) plus every single match wrestled in that weight, with scores and mat numbers. It's more complete than a bracket would be, just laid out as a table rather than a tree.
No. The Ziolkowski Memorial has run this same format every year, and so have the Poland Open and the Pytlasinski. Expect placings and match lists there too.
Placings and scores come straight from SportZona, the Polish federation's official scoring system.
Wrestler photos are athletes' own Instagram profile pictures, displayed automatically to help identify who is who. No photographer credit is implied. If you shot one of these and would like an individual credit, or would rather it came down, email info@baschamania.com and we'll sort it out.
