Pre-seeds are out for the 2026 Bill Farrell Memorial International, Nov. 6-7 at the New York Athletic Club, and men's freestyle has some fun potential finals.
There's a lot on the line. The top three American finishers at each weight qualify for the 2027 World Team Trials in April.

- Friday, Nov. 6: Greco-Roman (starts 9:30 a.m. ET) and women's freestyle (starts 2:30 p.m. ET), with finals at 8 p.m. ET
- Saturday, Nov. 7: Men's freestyle, prelims at 9:30 a.m. ET and medal matches at 6 p.m. ET
Arujau vs. Bartlett at 65kg?
The weight we're watching most is 65kg, the biggest bracket in the tournament at 27 wrestlers. Vito Arujau is the #1 seed and Beau Bartlett is #2. Bartlett beat Arujau 16-10 the last time they met, so if the seeds hold, we could get a fun rematch in the finals.
Brock Hardy (#3) and CJ Composto (#4) are right behind them, and high school star Clinton Shepherd is in the bracket unseeded.
Where's Trent Hidlay?
Trent Hidlay was on USA Wrestling's original entry list at 92kg, but he isn't on the pre-seeds and is no longer listed in the 92kg bracket. That suggests he won't be wrestling in New York. Garavous Kouekabakilaho is now the #1 seed in an 8-man bracket.
